MCIPAC Ceremony

Maj. General Peter J. Talleri, right, commanding general of Marine Corps Base Smedley D. Butler and Sgt. Maj. Patrick L. Kimble, sergeant major of MCB Butler, retire the Marine Corps Base Japan colors at a ceremony here Sept. 30. Following the deactivation of MCBJ, Marine Corps Installations Pacific was established. MCIPAC headquartered in Okinawa, commanded by Talleri, will oversee and manage all Marine Corps installations in the Pacific region to include MCB Butler, Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, MCAS Iwakuni, Combined Arms Training Center Camp Fuji on mainland Japan, MCB Hawaii, and Camp Mujuk in the Republic of Korea, Lance Cpl.
