You Guys Are Stupid: Meskawaki Indian Reservation

Just to clarify, WE ARE THE STUPID ONES - NOT THE INDIANS!
We get picked up by the cops because of the tribal war on the reservation. I swear to God, the cop told us we'd get staked to an anthill by the tribes. So we stayed the night at their casino. And met Superman. Or at least a guy who does a damned good impression of him using only a door. Yes, a door.

By the way, the buffet is awesome.

Actually, ruzo64 is absolutely correct. Not one employee in the casino made anything like a racisit comment. The comments about being staked to an anthill (etc.) were made by the police officer who picked us up and we just echoed his comments. Hopefully he was just poking fun at our ignorance, but in case he wasn't, we decided to take the safe approach and believe him (he IS a police officer!)

Cute vid ... but as a tribal member ... do not call the Meskwaki Settlement a reservation. Call it a reservation to a Meskwaki ... and you will get the same reaction as if you ran your fingernails down a chalkboard. Iowa is unique in that it was the only State that fought for one of it's own tribe. The Meskwaki are one of the only few tribes that bought it's own land back from the people that took it away. This was done so that it's future generations would remain in their homeland.

The employees in this video were NOT the persons who made the comment. Go to the YOUGUYSARESTUPID website and read the WHOLE story for yourselves. Look under journal entries for June 23 titled "Officer Friendly Saves Our Butts" You will see that it was a member of local law enforcement who picked them up on the highway that made the contoversial comments, NOT the employees in the video. The employees and the property were totally complimented by the guys walking across the United States.
