  • i hate expertvillage...

  • Poor explination of rule of thirds. While video discussed only one, there are two points to rule - lines for overall subject placement & intersections for where you want to focus viewer's attention. For example, the overall subject might be placed along the left line looking right, with face or eyes on intersection of left & top lines. Not good to place subject in middle of image as shown in first example. Framing or cropping using rule of thirds as described would have resulted in better image.

  • I love the vollyball example because where the thirds cross where we got taught to put your focal point you have the girls ass. Perfect axamples as always*facepalm*

  • For beginners starting out in photography please do not reference this clip. "ExpertVillage' my ass..... Bad photos, bad composition, bad examples. Sheesh! He's not even showing the rule of thirds in the first half of the video because the superimposed lines go outside the framing of the picture.
