HTC Touch Diamond 2 vs Sony Ericsson P910i - part 3, software (2)

After using the Sony Ericsson P910i phone for nearly five years, I updated to the HTC Touch Diamond 2. While the Diamond 2 is a fantastic phone, it could be much better if it only had some of the brilliant and intuitive design features of the P910i.

Note that this video is for my own amusement, it is not well researched and I'm not attempting to comprehensively review these phones or recommend one over the other (they are from entirely different eras). This is just for fun.

I have now upgraded from HTC Touch Diamond 2 (great phone which served well) to a Blackberry 9860 which I'm really enjoying. It is so difficult to find a phone which will sync directly (not through the cloud) with Microsoft Outlook... my most important requirement. Blackberry 9860 is looking good so far, but still miss the 5-way jog-dial on the ahead-of-it's-time P910i...!!

I have a P910i as well and lately I've been looking at new phones, and can't really find anything that's actually better... Good video's... Probably should have mentioned the fantastic battery life and several input methods on the P910i.... but you've made you're point quite well... :) keep the P910i people :D

@stijnbagin Good point - that battery was excellent and all the input methods were fantastic... the character recognition was extremely useful.

On the other hand, after 1.5 years I found the following were great features on the HTC Touch Diamond 2 which the Sony Ericsson P910i didn't have:

- 5 megapixel camera

- Full-quality email

- Very high resolution screen

- Smaller size

But apart from that, the P910i was so far ahead of it's time, it's amazine. Still miss the jog-dial...!!!
