I have created this Audi R8 in catia v5 GSD. It is fully parametric. Some of the front part is not finished. But you can try to finish it. You can download this model of Audi R8 from my site CADEnv.com. I am also working on it to give you the finished model. I need your feed back about this model.
Now you can download Audi R8 from the link bellow

  • what is the difference between gsd and ima?

  • @JamesBrett2008

Catia imagine and shape is a substitute of sub division modeling technique which you can found in Maya. Shape is controled by the vertaix. Not easy to work according to design.

try to connect this link "youtube.com/watch?v=k_S1INdEmdI"

Genarative shape design is for Creating surface with some construction curves, Sketches. Every shape is controlled by the curves and Sketches. There is a strong engineering concept works behind GSD modeling.

  • @catiav456 thank you very much for your response! it is starting to make sense now. I have a lot of car designs that i have designed in side and top view, I think GSD is the right tool becuase i will trace over my designs with sketch and the create the surfaces using gsd and it will have more accuracy than IMA. thanks again!

  • looks great!
