Loose Change, title song from Larry Jon Wilson's third Monument release in 1977. Recorded in Nashville, Tennessee and Muscle Shoals, Alabama.

Larry Jon Wilson, a Georgia-born singer/songwriter, cut four LPs in the second half of the 1970s, none of which sold many copies (New Beginnings, Let Me Sing My Song To You, Loose Change, Sojourner). It's hard to understand why, because he's simply great.

Larry Jon Wilson still performs occasionally and cut two great songs for the album "The Country Soul Revue - Testifying", produced by Dan Penn.

Update:
The new "unplugged" cd "Larry Jon Wilson" has been released to critical acclaim on 1965 Records in July 2008.

James Endeacott, proprietor of record label 1965:
We've just signed a guy who's 70 years old -- Larry John Wilson -- who was mates with Kris Kristofferson in the '70s. He's not made a record in 28 years and he's just made one for us, just him and a guitar recorded in a room overlooking a beach in Florida, and it's heartbreaking.

  • R.I.P one of the few that money could'nt buy. true ARTIST.

  • Rest in Peace

  • mindblowingly great--hopefully his work will be available on cd for a fair price someday.

  • You are better than the most famous singers. I am taking guitar lessons. I am 7 1/2 and Boo's grandson Beck

  • I first saw him at the Exit Inn in Nashville in 1976. That was the equivalent of the Bluebird in the mid '70s. He was followed by Barefoot Jerry. I also saw Steve Martin there later the same year. Nice to see new generations appreciating his artistry.

  • i like this, great voice

  • Can't find the tabs either. Saw this years ago around 2003 on Bluebird Cafe. I'd love to get the tabs

  • I always just listen to the song and play along with it, use bar chords and find you tuning
