  • thats awesome, ive never heard anybody play jimmie brown that close to maybelle's style. where did you learn?

  • Hi rrdoran! Thanx for the kind comments.

I have always loved "Wildwood Flower", but the words are awkward, so I have searched for an opportunity to "squeeze in" the instrumental. "Jimmy Brown" was that opportunity.

I learned "Jimmy Brown" from an old Flatt & Scruggs album in the early 60's. The song was one of my late dad's favorites.

I took bluegrass fiddle lessons for 17 years. I should be better than I am, because I practice a lot too.

Thanx again for the kind comment.

    Rock

  • Great stuff, and bravo for maintaining your concentration! :o)

  • I wish I had your talent and that kid's energy.

  • That's pretty cool the way you worked Jimmy Brown into Wildwood Flower. Nice picking indeed.

  • I have no life. LOL 35 and 1/2 circles before she clubbed the guitar twice with her head, and I think, may have knocked the cupboards with her elbow.

WARNING: wear a helmut and elbow pads before dancing her style. LOL CUTE!

  • Very good playing. And the little girl dancing...err, I mean the Rock Reynolds Dancer is just cute.

  • That is really good pickin' my man! Me and my daughter loved the dance sequence too! Very funny and really good. I'd like to figure that one out for myself. Keep playing and posting 'em.

  • See what happens when you give kids sugar eh? Very distracting. But other then that, good job.

  • Very well done!

  • Bravo! Brings back memories.

  • what a great job I love Jimmie Brown, would you mind telling me what the chords are?
