Snake Bit My Kid

We have lots of these garter snakes around our yard, and my son is fascinated with them. Can't say the same for the snake. He'd rather be left alone and let us know it. At the end of the movie you hear my son say "something smells." It turns out that garter snakes secrete a foul-smelling fluid from their anal glands when alarmed, and it was all over my kid's hands. When he learned that he wasn't so annoyed that I made him wash up and slather on the Purell.

it probably bit you because you where not holding it the right way do not hold its head or its tail or it will bite just let it slither around in your hands and there will be less of a chance that you will get bit. i have 2 wild garter snakes and they refuse to bite me

(The bad smell is eventually the poe of the snake XD)
