  • Beautiful track! A grand old hit....

  • dwiananda - I am truly sorry to carry on the discourse below on your video, but I am mortified by this person's wretched attitude which makes my country look so bad -representing the absolute worst of attitudes & opinions that we have in the USA. People like him have created an ideological civil war here that is tearing this country apart, ie: our own current debt crisis. They are too blinded by the darkness of their souls to see the folly in how they behave. This ends my dialogue with him here.

  • Sorry, but I just resent the Cubans being the ONLY people in the history of the world fleeing their country, instead of fighting for it's freedom, and free-loading in The United States for over 50 years. I do have the devine right to protest; I pay a lot of money in taxes. Lacking the talents, they want to missapropiate someone else's credits. "El negro Zumbon IS NOT A CUBAN SONG.

  • @chkjns Chuck...You've never got my authorization to appologize for me, and they can choose you as their friend any time: that's your and their prerrogative, no problem; I just belive that their "superstars" died A LONG TIME AGO and it's time to get new ones. Cuba has hardly produced anything significant since the noisy and good for crap "revolution", which so far has created nothing but a few million free loaders in the Unites States. 52 years of free-loading and big talk is too much.

  • My deepest appologies to the rest of the world for the ugly remark by Opusdei - he exemplifies the worst we might find in the citizens of any country. I am ashamed he comes from mine. Everyone else in the world is my neighbor, & my friend if they choose to have me as one. chuck in Phoenix Arizona

  • @Opusdei1951 I'm apalled at your wholesale dismissal of Cuba & it's people. Twas a foregone conclusion such a shameful comment would be an American's. I've spent over 2 years here trying to undo the perception of us that people like you create for the world. If you'd looked at any of my 450 artist playlists, you would see [ES] immediately after Cugi's name- I honor their nations as well as their music.

Benny Moré, Ernesto Lecuona, Celia Cruz, Desi Arnaz - all damn good CUBAN musicians!

  • @chkjns I hope you are not implying that Xavier Cougat was a Cuban...I have in many instances derrailed the efforts of Cubans from adjudicating other countries' talents. Cougat's parents were of French extraction; he was born in Catalugna (Northern Spain). He lived only for a very short and forgettable part of his life in Cuba. Cuba has NEVER been a good exemple of anything to copy or follow.

  • @gva0917 - Cugi & Pérez Prado were the Kings during the Latin craze from 1945-1955, of the cha cha & mambo, respectively. Before 1959, Havana was bigger than Vegas and actually MORE accessible back then than Vegas. Hard to imagine, but VERY true. A 4-hour cruise, or 1/2 hour by plane for the well-heeled.

    Such different times of glamour & elegance ! ! ! !

  • TERRIFIC - a glass of wine and someone special to dance with!!! Could it possibly be better than that? I DON'T THINK SO!!!! Thank you for the post.
