  • so you can create maps on the xbox 360 version

  • This has convinced me that this is a great game. Definatly going to get, but I kinda think Ubisoft took the idea of Halo 3's forge.

  • Forge WHAT!!!! hahaha farcry has had a map editor since the very first one on the xbox. Nobody stole any ideas from anyone.

  • Forge is a map editor in Halo 3. But I don't know anything about the original farcry so I guess Halo might of copied. It doesn't matter I guess I like the game.

  • halo didnt "steel" map editor as forge is not a map editor. it is a level editor were you can move props. it is very limited in what you can do.

where as farcry 2 you build a map from the bottom up. Lanscape vegitate, and do what ever else.

  • I like it. For future videos, when describing map and showing it, first do it from the editor mode thing then go into first person to show details. It makes sure that the whole map is covered and nothing is left out. I say this because i like the map and i wish i could see more of it.

  • yo this is cool nice work.. can i add you and show you the two maps i made?? i only got the game yesterday lol and i think there pritty cool

see all

  • just me but the road looks like a sloppy poo

  • im going to build a villa for myself XD

  • 6 trashbags wouldn't be placed in the center of a garage because vehicles park in there.

And the last thing i noticed was just some of the general physics of the objects. There are bridges with no support and cars sitting on sheet metal. Just the sort of stuff that would never happen. You know.. lol

  • Colonial buildings and shanty shacks. A fort entrance for whatever reason. Its cool to be able to find use for all of these things but its best that you just stick to what you really need and not try to use all of farcrys objects in one map. I like that you added a lot of detail but try to find a place where the objects would actually be. Crushed objects wouldn't pile up in the middle of the road because cars use the road.

  • With that said, i think the map could use a lot of work. I try to make a lot of mine look as if there were some purpose to the map being laid out the way it is.

With that in mind, it is also a good idea to stick to a central theme. Yours appears to have a variety of different objects from all the categories just thrown into the map. Theres bare trees, and jungle trees. The red clay road and desert/savanna terrain.

  • cool map you have xbox live acount add me if you want my gamertag is Skarred12

  • Nice map btw =]

  • I got farcry 2 i think its fucking awsome

and forge is nothing compared to farcry map editor lol

i donno why people are saying farcry got the idea from halo wtf!

It would be awsome if you could make like waterfalls and have a fire all ready going for like a destruction type of look and it would be awsome if you could like put modern houses down
