Located in Courtenay BC, Comox Logging Railway Company 2-6-2 #2 is on display in the downtown. Since a little while ago, If you go into the building by the engine, ask for the key to the train, and you can go inside and ring the bell. I never thought you were able to go inside before. If you ever go into Courtenay, make sure you try to find the old steamer, and get a chance to get up close to an old logging steam locomotive. Hard to believe that she has been on display for almost 50 years. Hope you Like the sound of the bell.

  • My family and I were swimming in Long Lake at Wellington when the #2 went by under her own power heading for Courtenay after being donated to the city for display. It was the one and only time I heard its whistle as it blew going through Wellington.
