@WREYtube hey who is the female commentator?
-
@SFFOOL76 hey don't forget Baltimore's Memorial Stadium and Pittsburgh's Three Rivers Stadium. REPLY BACK.

It is a shame they got rid of the Orange Bowl for the new Miami Marlins Stadium. They should have done the opposite , remodel the Orange Bowl for the Hurricanes & Dolphins and reconstructed the Sun PlayerRobbie (whatever its called today) Stadium into a baseball stadium. IMO, the Orange Bowl was one of the most historic American Football Venues. R.I.P. ORANGE BOWL

No they covered the BlockBuster Bowl in 1991 and whatever name they changed it to 1994. As WREYTube Mentioned CBS has always covered the John Hancock Bowl since I can remember.
-
However at the time nobody anticipated that there would be another Orange Bowl Game at the old stadium so TECHNICALLY this was the last game scheduled for the old lady.(In the Orange Bowl)
-
only 19 total bowl games - that's just one day on ESPN now it seems
-
too bad that year the so called big game between floria and nebraska was a blow out
-
can you please post the 1999 Orange Bowl Intro
-
@KirbyExpertSteve This was NOT the first college game on CBS since 1991. CBS had broadcasted the Sun/John Hancock Bowl since the mid-60s, they also broadcasted the Cotton Bowl from the late-50s to January 1992, and broadcasted the Blockbuster/Carquest Bowl from 1989 until 1994. For the 1995 season, CBS got the rights to the Orange and Fiesta Bowls, and got the Cotton Bowl back from NBC. Which in turn CBS got the SEC and Big East regular season rights beginning the next season.
Hannah Storm, I believe... I'll have to check the tape... :)

I'm pretty sure this was CBS' first college football game since January of 1991. As for the game itself, Florida State won 31-26.

@KirbyExpertSteve I'll have to check, but I think they still aired the (John Hancock) Sun Bowl during the 1992-94 seasons... :)
