  • love the poetry

  • que mujer de espectáculo,what a showwoman,thanks for sharing.

  • Awesome! Love this. Josephine Baker is an inspiration to me.

  • i love this song!

  • Even though this isnt a better version because its so fast...she still is very very good singing it and keep up at 67......wow! 67 hasnt looked better

  • Though Lola Falana DID come CLOSE!!! Lola became the highest paid entertainer in Las Vegas, thus earning her the title First Lady of Las Vegas. She rose to fame in Italy, but I have always wondered if she modeled herself after Josephine. AND et us not forget ADELAIDE HALL, First Lady of Jazz!!!

  • There's another clip of her singing this song, from Germany in '66 in black & white, which has a slower tempo.

  • If anyone has the french lyrics to this song PLEASE MESSAGE ME!!!!

The album "Josephine Baker: En La Habana" has a KNOCK OUT performance of this song.

  • That is really tall for a woman, and a lot of women I guess you could say were shorter back then.

  • Yeah, she was about 5'9 and 6 feet in heels
