As a young man Stu trained at a gym run by Joe "Toots" Mondt who was a student of the legendary Martin "Farmer" Burns. I have heard it described as a "Shooters" gym. Meaning that actually catch wrestling was taught and practiced there.

that move is called the stockade and stu hart obviously knows it very well. its a catch wrestling hold, stu hart obviously had knowledge of catch and submission.
