Tony Clarke was a great artist. Its something about him I just love. Had he lived longer, we would have saw greatness. I hope someone someday help us learn more about Tony life. I hear he died tragic. We lost some great soul artists in 1970 and 1971tragically, Tammi Terrell, Darryl Banks, Shorty Long, Billy Stewart, and Tony, all but Billy was from Detroit or lived there.

I wonder if Tony would had been bigger had he stayed in Detroit and signed with Motown. He had the smooth voice, good looks, could write and produce, and had cross-over appeal, he could had been competition for Marvin Gaye.
