Looks like the Playmates one they had out years ago. Camera trickery made it look bigger than the half size they released. I'm skeptical...

That's no kit. Not all that accurate, but a very very nice job! Better than most of the props used on the show! How old is it?

Did you build this using the Roddenberry TOS Tricorder prop kit? If so, how did you get the sound effects and lights? I want to order a prop kit and build a tricorder for a friend of mine, but I don't think the Roddenberry kit comes with sounds effects and lights.
Also, how hard was it to build?
