The Drucker Experience is an expression that pops up regularly when the topic is the Drucker School of Management. It trips off the deans tongue frequently, but is also heard from both students and alumni. But what is the Drucker Experience? And how is it defined? Ask ten people and youll likely get ten different answersbut perhaps not; one experience in particular makes a big impression time and time again. It is the opportunity to have access to CEOs and world-renowned business experts. Students and alumni talk of the thrill of being able to meet and speak, one-on-one, with some of the most notable business experts in the world.
The Drucker School provides many opportunities for students and alumni to stay involved and learn from top business leaders, especially through the Drucker Schools Executive in Residence program.
Rajiv Dutta, who recently stepped down as president of eBay Marketplaces, is serving as the Drucker Schools first Distinguished Drucker Executive-in-Residence. Mr. Dutta earned his MBA from the Drucker School in 1982. Before running eBay Marketplaces, he served as president of PayPal, president of Skype, and eBays chief financial officer.

Mr. Duttas appointment follows those of two Distinguished Drucker Scholars-in-Residence, who spent time at CGU in 2007 and 2008: Professor Jiro Nonaka, of UC Berkeley and Hitotsubashi University, and British author and social philosopher Charles Handy who delighted students, professors and alumni as they sat down together to spirited discourse during the course of their visit.
It is a testament to the world renowned reputation of the Drucker School of Management that top business executives willingly accept the invitation to become Executives in Residence. It is experiences like these that become the talk of the town and epitomize the uniquely Drucker Experience!
