One of the most underrated bands of the Garage era in my opinion. They had several big hits through out the South in the mid 60's and just could not get that break through national release.

  • Thanks for watching. You occasionally hear this on Sirius on their 60's station. For real lovers of music, satellite seems to be the favorite means of listening.

  • I've been here before about putting up images that ain't got [censored] to do with the band but I'll be nice as a guest in your house. Thank you.

  • @Khultan My friend you have to realize that many of these garagebands did not have the means for publicity shots and those they had are not public domain and owned by members of the band. Rightfully so, being that their record labels raped them from royalties, payment, and such, I can't blame them. Thank you for being "nice" as a guest in my house.

  • cool to see this, this was written by my dad!!! Larry Puckett

  • Glad to keep it alive. It's a great song.

  • Heard this song lots up in canada unless i heard it on koma. It was one of my favourites thanks for posting.

  • I never heard of this group until I bought Rhino's 4 CD box set Nuggets last year, and very glad I did. So many great songs that never made the big time that should have. Great song, glad I own it and glad to see it posted here. The internet is great way to get music to the rest of world. Radio stations are too restrictive on what they play, and why I stopped listening to all of them about 15 years ago. Once again thanks for posting this song for others to enjoy. ;- )

  • I'd love to heard them cover Gloria! These guys were fine-there were a lot of good groups operating out of Shreveport. Nobody remembers the Louisiana Hayride any more-they think everything came out of Nashville. Not the case. In the MTV world of a few years later these guys would have been bigtime.

  • Did they ever cover "Gloria"? Would have been awesome. I can hear them!

  • Punk rock at it's best

  • You Ain't Tuff - The Uniques [Louisiana and Texas] - 1965 - "VERY GOOD vocals, harmonica and beat." - Nuggets: Original Artyfacts From The First Psychedelic Era (Disc 3)-1998. NOTE: A pop/punk outfit from Louisiana and Texas who enjoyed some national chart success. Ronnie Weiss was later briefly involved with the band after his spell in Rio Grande before reforming Mouse And The Traps. Joe Stampley later became a country star.
