Fords body yamaha power these cars will run 140+ not even breakin a sweat had mine to 153 according to gps 3.0l for 5 speed 3.2l for automatic had one of each back in the day getting harder to find one not ragged out

That's Yamaha engineering and reliability for ya. Everything else on the car fell apart but that yamaha engine was simply flawless. Second to Nissan's 3.0 VQ.

I think the Acura should have given up during the second race when the sho caught a nasty second gear and pulled even harder ahead.

Yeah, because driving in a stright line with a FWD car is soooo hard.
The TL needs more power to run with a properly maintained SHO.
