Califone 1430K Record player

I recently received a MINT condition classroom record player from a local church that was cleaning out the storage closet. I didn't have to do anything to this record player! it works perfectly, the drive rubber is not hard or dented from being left engaged like so many of these are.

Very nice find! Works very nicely, and I like that external speaker. I have the same Califone record player, but the blue version. I had to put in a new speaker, as the previous owner had removed the original. I got it along with the Califone reel-to-reel.

Looks like a nice set,in very good condition,and built,if it was for school use,like a tank.Like our old Coomber or Goodsells were.

Interesting isn't it when you come across something that is MINT condition, makes you wonder why it sat untouched for so many years.  Nice find ! The instant start is terrific, almost Radio station quality pausing dare I say...
