Affliction "Trilogy", Fedor, UFC Thoughts

My take on the whole Affliction debacle. I had to cut it down, so it's kinda hacked together....but the message is more important than the production. Let me know what you think.

today, most UFC fans at least know that Fedor exists, two years ago, they did not know what Pride is! big change, eh? so, i am hopeful. Also, Fedor is a VERY special case. Noone was like him before in MMA.

Very true, he's beaten 5 former UFC heavyweight champions and was about to beat a 6th...and people wanna talk about him not being the Number 1 heavyweight.

devin, i agree with your logic but i believe that there are MANY fans that think that the No1 fight to watch today is Fedor vs UFC champ. and these fans make Dana shake a little dispite him giving those idiotic P4P speeches these days every time you see him. so, i believe if Dana will not find a common language with Fedor, UFC will be in trouble. yes, americans are a nations of standards and fashion, that is why UFC means MMA here. but it is changing.

Well, Dana said recently that he's "trying his best" to get Fedor BECAUSE it's what the fans want to see. We all know he talks out of his ass alot, but we'll see how much effort he actually puts in. To be honest, I'd be much happier with Lorenzo doing those negotiations. Fedor/Lesnar would be an epic draw.

When is Fedor's next fight I know Trilogy got canceled But he has three fights left in his contract.When ever someone finds out his next fight Id highly appreciate it.

dana wants entertainment but you forget that the best fighters in UFC came from sport, almost all of them. and guess what, they do not stay the champs forever! but Fedor does and sport helps. to not realize that is simply to not care about him and wanting him to loose. i want him to succeed, because in the end it is about a man's spirit, not some stupid fight in the cage. in it all the head.

I think it is not about MMA vs Sambo. It is just that if someone reaches a level of being a word class athlete in ***any*** sport (martial arts, figure skating or chess), it is to be admired and respected, and to deny the right to compete in the sport is cruel. MMA is not exactly a sport yet, it is more of a skill testing arena.

I guess mixed martial arts fans all of the sudden are Sambo Lovers. Do we get Russian television now? Why dont we just bag MMA and start watching Karate tournaments. Oh wait that was the 80s and those one dimensional styles have proven to suck ass that is why MMA was developed. Fedor wont even talk to Dana. If I was the best Football player in the world? Wouldnt I want to talk to an NFL agent? Or do I go play for NFL Europe?
