I love this story!
I think "Picnic" is a movie that's been forgotten in recent years.
Emotions are ignited amongst the complacent townsfolk when a handsome drifter arrives in a small Kansas community on the morning of the Labour Day picnic.

This is really beautiful. I've seen "Picnic" several times, but you've captured the essence of that love story. The restored film takes your breath away --the nuances that only Bill Holden could bring to the screen--using just his eyes. He was magnificent in this role, as he always was.
