@ruggy19 :O I think you just made my day, The Black Keys are my favourite band ever, seen them 4 times live and they are incredible. I know exactly what you mean, i appreciate this music, and have seen The Vaccines live 3 times too, but i'd never call them 'Rock'.. they just aren't ballsy enough to earn that title. I dunno what you'll think of them, but i'm gonna suggest them anyway.. "The Mexanines".. uh.. lets say "A love obscene" Hope you like it :)

@MrDan2593 yeah i have nothing against this kind of music but as you said perfectly they lack edge. this is exactly what i mean as well liam was a great front man one of the best of all time and for me the best since i was born ( 21 years ago)
yes black keys for me are the best band in the world at this moment in time. forgot to put them on my original post. even they're hip hop collaboration side project Blakroc was a master piece.

@ruggy19 I do like these bands but I do agree with you in a lot of ways. The Beatles, Oasis and Nirvana all had an edge that these indie bands kind of lack.
That said plenty of bands with that swagger are around. Foo Fighters, Black Keys. Mumford and Sons, Muse all have that edge and bigger sound to them.
Though I still enjoy the band because all those other bands have history under there belt. Oasis got there edge when they started going to awards shows and Liam started throwing shit.

@MikeLss1 nah that's cool. yes it does take pure skill to play guitar but it take pure skill to play bowls don't mean i want to watch it.I have no problem with guitar driven music really at all. my problem is there is no variety. most bands these days seem to bum this tinny libertinesque sound which now days is just over used. i want some big heavy riffs with swagger in my rock music again.

@ruggy19 I don't mean this with an edge or anything, but just out of curiousity, if "guitar driven music" is in so many words, dull, these days. What instrument (or touch pad, no offense to you cause i don't know exactly what your stating) makes music feel new and exciting? I only ask cause i hear statements like that a lot, and i'm sure it can be backed up/clarified, but I don't understand because I personally feel it's the talent behind the instrument, not so much the instrument.
Took me ten seconds to fall in love with it.
