  • Bicep curls are not out of the question but if you are sitting down as you lift you have to keep you legs quite close togather because the side of the dumbell gets pretty close to your leg. I do bicep curls on a regular basis with them and it doesn't bother me.

  • Yeah the mats are good for the price mate, definately protect the carpet!

  • no ray ray, the bench will not fold flat.

  • This is the 5.1 bench. It is great for the decline.

  • I'm not sure I can really answer your question Marshall2411 as I have not had them for long. On occasions the weight selector dial can be a little difficult to change but other than this, I've had no problems so far. The mechanism seems fairly simple.

  • They are quite expensive; I paid £300 for the dumbells and £100 for the bench. But they are good quality space savers that will last. (I'm trying to convince myself it was ok to spend £400!)

  • definately go with the powerblocks over the bowflex weights. So much better quality and lifetime warranty. check out the u90's

  • I heard they are about 15 inches wide and becuz of that bicep curls are out of the question what do you say about this.

  • @jokerjets do you still like them today? bumbells and bench

  • I see we have the same taste in mats! I noticed you mentioned they were of the York brand. I bought a pack of 6 from Wal-Mart and the packaging said Athletic Works. I guess the design isn't patented. Anyway, they're great for supporting heavy objects or even for flexibility work!
