shit, I was at this show. This was in DC. Great show, wild night! The reason why the graphics get all trippy is that this is the video feed from the giant screens on either side of the stage. These were necessary to see the band, as this tour was all football stadiums. Anyhow, they did trippy graphics interlaced with the band because everyone was tripping balls. Everyone except Jerry. Apparently, this was his period of heroin smoking.

@TheClownfight It did seem as though they played more and more football stadiums in the latter years. Mostly due to the overwhelming amount of people wanting to see them of course... They did play a couple really cool venues that were local to me at the time.. Buckeye Lake and Deer Creek. Great non-stadium venues!

ya'll are funny. How high were you at this show? Who gives a fuck how high Jerry was. or what on or how he liked to take his drugs. Umm, if im not mistaken we were all pretty high and reaching higher. He did what he had to do to be there that night and do this for us. We did what we had to do to be there for him to do this. Nothing matters except the moments that were created, shared and enjoyed. All that other stuff is just life.

Jerry was cleaned up in 90 ((off the gorilla)) and very much on point in 89-90 into 91....he had mastered his music.

wow, that was great! Just think a crisp and healthy Jerry and the boys still going at it now. Just imagine....

Actually from most accts Jerry was still doing well at this time since his coma nearly killed him. He was playing better and living healthier... Jerry and Brent didnt use together, brent was a binge user he'd stay relatively tame for a stretch of time until something would happen and he would binge dangerously on hard drugs and alcohol; Jerry was a maintenence user, he would try to stay high and not come down. After Brents death, then came the sudden death of Bill Graham and Jer slipped back..

Unfortunately Brent passed away a month later due to the CHEMISTRY he and Jerry shared

@briandrum1 Yeah, there was definitely a chemistry. Brent's adoration for Jerry, each time they would share a glance, wink or smile, was all too palpable.

@TheClownfight Everyone in the band? I have not actually read anything about it but I feel like after '85 or '86, the boys just didn't seem to be doing drugs. Bobby, Phil, Billy and Mickey all seemed to be straight. I mean, Brent was a notorious drug abuser as was Jerry.

Or, did you mean the audience?
