Awesome drummer, definately one of the very best. FYI-in all the years of his being in Petra, I have rarely seen him without a Mickey Mouse shirt!

Its easy he was sponsered by Disney.
I had the privileage to drive the full band around for a week in Northern Ireland
Louie even had a 24carat gold Mickey Mouse watch on

You need to check out Ted Kirkpatrick of the Christian thrash band Tourniquet. He definitely has better chops on drums. But Louie Weaver is still a great musician.

I love Louie for his part in Petra. The guy is a master of what NOT to play. His parts in the songs are tasteful and complimentary to the song; more so than many out there. The guy knows how to set up a groove better than most.
That said, this solo is not so great... actually kinda bad. I know I'll get all kinds of hate messages in reply, so I'll say up front don't bother, I don't care. I've been playing drums most my life, and I know good, and this is not it.

the guy is an epic drummer....glad to see him back with Petra again ;)
What's up with the pink Mickey Mouse tanktop? LOL...seriously though, sick solo.

@drummerboyfromspace Louie is all over Mickey Mouse. Saw them in Budapest recently and Louie was wearing Mickey shirt. Pink was just fashionable at the time :-D

I have had Petra music since the 80's, but there music came alive to me in 2003 when I went through a particularly rough patch in my life. I was very blessed to be able to attend one of the farewell tour concert at a small church in Visalia, California.

It was around the same time (2003) that I dicovered Petra but payed a closer attention only since 2006 or so so I completely missed every opportunity to see them live. But God still spoke and speaks through their music to me. God bless you, brother

TIght groove at 1:41. I grew up listening to Louie. Great, Solid Drummer. And a good showman as well. If you never saw him live, you missed a real treat.
