This "girl" is Nina Ananiahshvili one of the most famous ballerinas of the time. She is not agitated, that is just her character. She is portraying Odette, a woman that got turned into a swan. So the arms she does in the beginning are her swan wings flapping

I was there this week, but I saw Gillian & Hallberg. It was flawless! I prefer Angel as the prince though.

nina as absolutely beautiful, i know what you mean about gillian being flawless in a sense, she can turn and balance that'd for sure. but nina was breathtaking - just look at those arms ... so expressive even when you can't see her facial expressions, some dancers just glow, like they're radiating feeling and passion - it goes beyond the technique, and for me is more important - that is when i know i have seen a great artist.

but yes, angel is fantastic, i'm in agreement about that. i've never seen hallberg in this role, did you enjoy him and gillian as partners?

Honestly, I was so awestruck by Gillian that I hardly noticed him. He has a small frame, he's cute, the crowd like him...but I was just waiting for Gillian. And in the first act, I just kept my eye on Isaac Stappas, he's so adorable. Ethan was supposed to play siegfried that night, but I don't know what happened to him :( I would have definitely noticed him!

Ethan withdrew in the middle of one of Ferri's Manon performances due to an injury, I hope it wasn't that serious.
