VIDEO
Output - AVI
Codec - H.264/AVC
Audio - MP3
Compressor - FFmpeg
Custom Size - 1280 x 720
Ratio - 16:9
FPS - 29.97
Bitrate - 1728 Kbs
Options - High Quality + Stretch It Checked

AUDIO
Sampling Freq - 44100
Channels - 2
Bitrate - 128 Kbs

All thats left to do is click encode...

*Note - The original video is recorded in the "TV Super Fine" quality mode so using lower then this wont give you the same result...

hi man! i just bought my vp-mx20 and im just wondering how i record in .avi? couse my editing program dont take mp4 :( please anwser!

Hi, the only format that comes out of the samsung is the mpeg4 i think..

Best bet is to download a program that converts mpeg4 to avi...

xilisoft have software out and the SUPER program does this also.

i downloaded the software and it is diffrent to the one you have i think :S what have i done wrong???

i wouldnt assume you've done something wrong, the software has been updated since i posted the tutorial but the one i had originally had was

SUPER v2009.build.35

Search for that version online and you should be able to find it somewhere.

The newer updated version just offers more configuration options and the setting i used here can be implemented on the new one also.

Thnx for this....i've been looking for a solution for this.

I would like to point out that for some reason on my friends Mac the video does play like it's recorded...so makes me wonder why my PC is playing it on 4:3 instead of the recorded 16:9.

The issue may be Windows related somehow (maybe someone at Samsung doesn't like M$)

Anyway...good to know it can be solved like this.
