That was the fully staged version. It was written to be performed with minimum forces on a symphony stage. The world premiere at the barbican had more bells and whistles, but same minimal sets.

This music shimmers. I was at the US premier in San Francisco and liked it so much went back the next night. I can't wait to see a fully staged version. Thanks for posting this wonderful music. Adams is at the height of his creative powers with this opera.
