  • people like you believe that tolerance of another's person's perspective is of the utmost importance, however you, sir, are 100% intolerant of her take on the world and its orgin. It doesn't matter what I think about it. But I do know that when someone disagrees with you, you think they are "Sick." I can tell you one thing with no evidence, and that is that science didn't advance to where it is now, by people calling others beliefs "sick." Science advances observation and open mindedness.

  • She is allowed to have her own opinions BUT NOT her own facts. What she promotes as facts are wrong.

  • can you give an example of one of these facts?

  • @ejcorson

Her claim that there have been transitional fossils between dinosaurs and birds.

  • Please know that not all home school parents are religious nut jobs who refuse to teach actual scientific facts to their children. As an atheist home school family, we use MIT open courseware for our high school children. Real science, no mythos. Dont blame the home school concept, place the blame directly on the deluded christian parents, exactly where it belongs.

  • People think I'm cool cause I talk in a....robot voice.

  • What a BS she's writing. Makes me mad.

  • @MrMilagroqq

However, she may not have poked a hole in evolution, she HAS poked a hole in the way it is TAUGHT.

I did not learn about speciation till I reached University level of education so I believe that a high school level at least it should cover how one species can over many generations become a distinct species.

I don't know what she is expecting, is she expecting some horrible mutant half-fish half-ape that is both no good surviving as a fish and no good surviving as an ape?

Well, there are many fossil examples of transition organisms but clearly she has not really looked for them.

  • "The bird could not make teeth, because it only has genes for bird parts"

Funny GLaDOS should say that, as when I was taking my Biochemistry course I was privy to an experiment where hormones were applied to a chicken embryo to try inducing dormant genes to be expressed.

One experiment, applying only hormones formed a chicken embryo, with a beak... and teeth. The genes for teeth seemed to have been lying dormant in the chicken's DNA since its dinosaur ancestors.
