i cant remember even a quarter of what i learned in school. if my parents let me be unschooled, i would have not been bullied and would be a pro skateboarder by now.
@reptilia5 Was public schooled yes. I most probally use this x+y=z everytime i'm in maths, but i still don't understand what it is. Its like i have skill in maths but don't know the basic knowlage, i'm dyslexic so it takes me ages to do simple timetables because of my memory. I also have AS (type of autism). Maths is one of my skills and got entered into a early exam when i was 14 getting a B. I can do complex equations but do not understand what i'm doing if i'm asked to do a certain part.
@reptilia5 unschooling isn't homeschooling. unschooling is when you don't teach them math or basic common knowledge they should know. homeschooling is fine in my opinion but this isn't them. it's basically kids who can't answer 2+2.
My son is liberal/pedagogical home educated. Three hours a day of studies and that's it for the books. The rest of his time is spent in taking care of his pets, volunteering at nursing homes, homeless shelters and church dispensaries for the poor,or just enjoying being a child. True learning isn't all about textbooks and worksheets. The world is the best classroom of all. He always says his public school friends are out of touch with reality, materialistic,or unable to think for themselves.

@SarahWalsh95 It's a simple Algebraic formula. Are you public schooled? My ten year old home educated child knows the answer to this one!
