Routing rails & stiles at the router table using homemade jigs & fixtures. A purchased coping sled can cost $40. I made mine for less than $15. Did stiles in 2 passes. Router speed at 4 1/2 on my Hitachi M12VC cut down on burning & chipout. (1 Slowest - 6 Fastest).

  • Finally after searching through dozens of youtube videos, someone has a router table of my calibre. Most ones IVe seen were like these elaborate expensive ones. I would so like to make my own cabinets, however, I am a complete beginner to the router! I was thinking maybe about using oak plywood for mine but I just want to be able to make them right. Any advice?

To begin at a router table - practice with scrap pieces. The workpiece needs to be held securely. Be very careful to avoid kickback and grip tightly. Push the scrap practice at a steady speed to achieve the profile in several passes if needed. Then profile your cabinet workpeice I use ball bearing guided router bits Doors are flat panel 1/4 plywood

  • what is behind the router table with the hose

  • dam your router turns fast, how many rps is that? and whats the name of the bit your using i cant hear it

  • Router bits are matched Rail & Stile. Router is 24000 rpm (400 rps) Max. I have a variable speed and 300 rps is ideal for above app. Too high rps will burn. Built 17cabinet doors for my kitchen remodel.

  • For those who can afford, INCRA router Fence makes it easier as you do not have to mess with shims (which is a great idea in this scenario). Also, I would use push block when doing the horizontal ones. The hand is too uncomfortably close to the spinning bit !

  • I just want to echo the appreciation for the "fence shims". Great idea! Thanks for sharing that with us! I just bought a shaper/router from ......well you can guess where I bought it... (smile). I paid a little less than $300 (with a coupon), so I didn't break the bank! I am learning a lot from guys like yourself posting these great vids!.......Go WoodWorkers!

  • Hola, donde puedo comprar una prensa comola que usas en la base de la corredera. Gracias.
