Isn't it nice that the very people who need to use this technology are the very one's who can't afford it. Thanks chevy!

How the fuck is that Chevy's fault? I read these dumbfuck biased comments all day long (when I don't work) and usually ignore them. But seriously, HOW!? Do you want them to just lose money on every one they sell? Or should we also insult every other manufacturer that Jay Leno owns a car of? Jesus Christ.

New technology always has a high price of entry. Although it's what most people need, most people won't be able to afford it until enough interest is there from the early adopters. Only then will most of us be able to afford it. Not the most ideal situation, but it's how it works.

I agree with one thing you alluded to. You read the comments in cyberspace and you say to yourself, 'Humankind is devolving into the protohumans at the beginning of 2001: A Space Odyssey." People say we should be frightened of Global Warming. How 'bout we get worried about each successive generation losing 10 IQ points!!

Selling to the rich first helps pay for the R&D, which in turn helps reduce future production costs and thus brings down the price for the mass market. Nearly all technologies are like this. Remember when a computer cost 2K and it had a fraction of the processing power of a mail-order laptop?

Instead of sneering "Thanks Chevy!", you should sincerely be saying "Thanks Jay!"

I remember back in the 80s, when my buddies dad bought one of those new-fangled CD players. It was like $400. In 80s dollars. Now you can buy one for next to nothing by comparison.

With emerging technologies, SOMEBODY has to buy the first few expensive ones, until the tech is sufficiently matured and there is finally a mass market for it. Blaming Chevy for this universal phenomenon just makes you look dumb. It makes the people who give you a "thumbs up" look dumb too.

this is a city car. you can go days or even weeks with zero gas. if you need to go on a longer than normal distance the gas serves as a back up. if you go REALLY far, then you'll be 30+ MPG and when you get back home into your normal routine your back to using no gas. if you go too long without using gas it asks you if you want to start it just to keep the gas fresh. and i think it will "charge fast" while going down hills (if you live in that kind of area) to give u more battery time on trips.
