that's a loud of bullshit because these devices come with a magnetic shielding so that magnets cannot damage them at all, you could sit an earth magnet on the screen and it would not effect the device, they test the phones and devices such as these under extreme situations before even announcing them. there is a department that deals with all the testing for most electrical consumer products and they do everything from dip it in water to throwing it off a roof just to cert it for distribution.

sure it says it's charging but it's being ruined by the magnet. i had a palm pre and the touch stone, tried to charge it, and it got all messed up by the magnet I'd stick to plug in charger, the ones that go into your phone.
