I had that same problem when i first started to kick. What I had to do was slow down my steps and do each step individually and make sure that I was kicking with the right part of my foot. I kick with the inside of my foot.
I've got the power for the kicks, I just don't have the technique. About.. 60%? of the time I attempt field goals I don't get enough under them. Really really annoying. Any tips or drills you could show me to help me get my kick placement better?
