@Randomstlhero It's a super easy hike, little kids could easily do it. Probably the easiest fourteener in the usa. Unless you take another route like the mountaineers route, or some rock climbign routes.

Great Video. ADhemi
Did a one day hike in to Iceberg but going from 2.3k at 29 Palms to 11k in a day gave me a splitting headache. At 05:00 the next morning the headache was gone but nausea had arrived. We were going to do the classic east face but I backed out and the others weren't feeling much better so we did the mountaineers rout instead and then hiked down to Boyscout and kicked back until morning. I hurled all night...Elevation change can get you, no doubt about that.

I use chocolate to help me with altitude. Apparently raw cacao was chewed by south american natives for this very reason. Happy trails!
Whats the song at 0:05? it kinda sounds like johnny cash

Very nice video. I've tried to do the one-day hike 4 times and still haven't done it. And I did train hard and was prepared. Made it to 14,000 in '02 before a lightning storm hit. & got to 13,500 last year. It is not easy and it's important to have a respect for the mountain. Two people died on the mountain the day i tried it in '05. Got hit by lightning. I can't really judge, but it doesn't appear that the hikers in this video knew what they were in for. But like I said, the video was good.

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, I really got whooped by the mountain and the elevation. Didn't get permits this year, but I hope to to try it again soon. good luck on your future attempts.

Nice editing job! What software did you use? I did a Mount Whitney Video too, but would have like to have had the cool effects you used.

I used the stock Final Cut Pro effects: transitions, speed adjustments, basic titles. Thanks for the appreciation, it took me a couple months to finally get it finished after we went on the trip. The music is all from my buddy in the video. I like your video too, especially beers at the top.
