Top speed 37 MPH + Running 1920 Watts. This is an electric bike conversion kit using a Crystalyte hub motor, 48V at 40Amp constant draw. Twist grip throttle, controller, cruise control with auto-disengage brakes, key, special battery mounts, all the wiring included as well as instructions. Bike not included - used a $99 bike from Walmart.

BTW, you can still pedal on an electric bike. It increases your range and top speed, especially on hills.
They're pretty cool, when built right.

Actually an electric bike is a replacement for a car and not a bike.

I am 250lbs and ride a slightly less powerful motor than he. 20-30mph up 5% grades. 38mph on the flats.

@459am You've been doing electric WAY wrong.
You can build an eBike that recharges in 30 mins, does 60mph, and has 60 miles of range or greater.
2 stroke stinks like shit, sounds like shit, and makes you're riding it because you got a DUI.
Seriously, the emissions from those are worse than cars because they waste fuel and burn oil BY DESIGN...

You are only pushing about half of what that motor is capable of. I am disappointed ;)

i have over 3000 miles on one of those motors and no problems.the more i ride my bike the less i like my car.anything but buy more gas.
