@mikesderic That's not the case. Have you ever been pulled over, or seen anyone pulled over for speeding by a moving police car? The officers in that car make an assessment of your speed by eye, not by radar gun. Granted, it's easier in court to say "the limit was 30 and he was doing 34 by my radar gun" than it is to make the same assessment by eye, but if you speed at 50 past a radar gun and the gun doesn't register your speed, you can still be picked up for obviously doing over the limit.
