a lot of pro players do speedlings just to deny the scout nowdays, in this matchup its important for the toss to react to the zerg build, and they cant really do that with the defensive speedlings

Going for the speedlings here is really useful as the Protoss is forced to prepare for several different builds and you actually end up a little bit ahead with it.

Not to mention the speedlings can cut off scouting Probes.
Although KR never really seem too concerned about the Mutalisks though, he played very well and collected.
