  • I bought the1969 edition of HOT ROD Magazine about the 1969 US Nationals.

    I was hooked, as kid, on drag-racing.

    This was the last of "hot rod" era of drag-racing.

    Top Fuel cars, as shown in this video, were at their limit using production components.

    Enter the 1970's and it was rear engined cars with pure racing components and aerofoils etc. Safer, more reliable, but more high tech and much more expensive!

    Top Fuel is now a very high tech and very expensive class!
