Well, Gavin, I think your quest is AWESOME! I will help you in any way I can. I am a filmmaker based in Paris, and what I can tell you is that Johnny Depp comes to France all the time, because his wife Vanessa Paradis is French. Apparently there are villages in France where he and Vanessa go and just hang out with people - if I hear about anything like this, I will let you know. Good luck.
