I did a bit of research tonight and, found a software program called jet-tech pro. It is for a PC, and requires a weather station. If you plot the weather (temperature, altitude, humidity and so on) into the program it calculates the jetting for you. Sounds pretty sweet, but costs a bit ofcourse :-)

Always check the sparkplug!!Yes of course you have to be very carful with the jets just as in the parilla.The best thing to do before going out to the track is to ask what jets the other karts are using , then adjust yours accordingly.When I go to the track and if there is no other kart I run a few laps then check the sparkplug.

why only tested on 12 000?? the motor can do better...

engine was brand new, it revs to 13 800rpm now power is around 38-40hp

I thought ICC engines were supposed to put out over 40 horsepower? like 42-44?

at the crank yes,but bhp is 35-38
This engine had less than 2hours on the track.Some dynos of course give more or less hp.This dyno measures at the wheel hp.
