"Own your own broken heart." [Livingston Taylor]

Listen to LT's enunciation of the name "Carly Simon". It's an absolute scream. Simpering Liv is downright simpadelic. He sounds like the unholy love-child of Liberace & Carol Channing.

  • First heard James on the very day I left the war in Vietnam and came home. That was 06 November 1970. I don't recall how much longer it was before I picked up on Livingston but I do remember having at least one album of his in the early 70's and I thought, in many ways, that his voice was similar to James' but was also uniquely different too. Geez, this takes me back a long long ways. Here's to memories that are important enough to live on and on............

  • This song reminds me of the Mrs and me.

  • thanks for the video....livingston and james remind me so much of growing up in massachusetts. First saw livingston at a concert where he opened for Arlo Guthrie and he played the pajamas song, did a great show. Thanks

  • Livingston always makes me smile.

  • Livingston always makes me smile

  • What is simpadelic?

  • Its a very sweet song:)

  • wow...he has a sweeter edge to his voice than his more famouse brother.

  • Hard to say if I liked the song best, or his dialogue: "Own your own broken heart" as he says here, is a great quote to put into practice. Thanks Sally

  • I'm looking forward to see Liv in Sellersville, PA.

I have seen JT his brother 2 dozen times, but never had the chance to enjoy a live performance from Livingston, so this time I just can't wait!

He's the Best Romantic singer from New England!

I love his optimistic song "Life is Good" since the early '90s...The great virtue from him is his Honesty.

Thanks Sallybiter for uploading Liv's music.
