Cristiano Ronaldo has been criticised this morning for allegedly spitting at a TV camera following Portugal's 1-0 defeat to Spain last night.

The Real Madrid forward had a frustrating night as Spain rolled out their "tiki-taka" against their neighbours and dominated the ball for an incredible 62% of possession.
Much like Wayne Rooney's reaction to the camera after England's woeful 0-0 draw with Algeria, Ronaldo skulked away from the Green Point Stadium pitch with a sour look on his face and appeared to spit at the camera man following him.

In his defence, this kind of behaviour is seen all across the football world and by aiming his phlegm at the ground he did not come close to hitting the camera or the man holding it.

Another intriguing aspect to Portugal and Ronaldo's exit is the ever greater belief in a Nike curse at the 2010 World Cup.

  • Thats not fair that people hate Ronaldo so much when HALF OF YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW HIM! And do you think Ronaldo haters even try watching a lot of Ronaldo interviews!? And don't say you have because if you did you would know how much he loves his team and country! Ronaldo's family is most important and he uses a lot of his money for charity. He's not all the things people say he is. Trust me if you all had the skills he had you would understand why he acts the way he does. He's a good person.

  • he didnt hit him, but its shit...ronaldo is a player who does some shit very often...a young boy, who think hes the best...thats ronaldo...i love his moves but this situations are like a child
