One of my favorite ballads. Of course I am no singer, but I believe that most musicians have a lot to learn about the meaning of lyrics, breathing and expressing a simple melody from vocalists. I can tell you that anytime I sing, I have even more respect for real vocalists! This sextet, filmed live at the A Trane (Berlin) features Uli Kempendorff on alto flute, Christian Grabandt on fluegelhorn, Rainer Winch on drums, Johannes Gunkel on bass and Peter Weniger who plays a beautiful solo on tenor sax, a nice tribute to his main man, Stan Getz.

  • the sax man def heard some Warne Marsh along the line :D

  • Wow there's alot of Chet Baker here. good vibes, good vibes. It's not great because there's a Chet influence, it's great because of that feeling.

    That's jazz.

  • Wunderbar! Und das tollste Tribut das sich Chet Baker wünschen kann...
