@TurboIDI lol. mine has been tuned up pretty high but mine is a heavy 4x4. it jumps real good up til about 80 . lol....
-
@XJproto If you know for a fact your glowplugs are NOT functioning, a lil snort won't hurt.
-
@guppyelf Ive got an ats turbo on my 7.3idi, with 1700psi pump 1400psi injectors 8degrees advanced, and red light racing it can take a 5.4 f150. Have you dynoed yours?
-
@turtlemann14 he shoulda tuke it back and demaned a full refund, if they gave him crap then sue there sorry asses
-
@turtlemann14 yea .. a lot of good folks get ripped off by buying remaned parts from autozone or checker/oreilys, those guys send all there parts to mexico to be remaned. those guys dont know crap about diesels , i bought one from pensicola diesels . it was remaned here, it has a two year warranty.
Basically let me clear this up about the video. The truck has over 500,000 miles. It only will start when the engine temp is over 160. It will not crank with out starting fluid no matter what unless it has been running and the temp is up. But you are correct your are not suppose to use starting fluid on a idi ( indirect injection) because the glow plug and fuel are in a pre-cup before it enters the engine. So if u use too much starting fluid with glow plugs it will blow the pre-cup out of

@diesel85idi My gramma has 7.3 idi with 800,000 miles, but it had bearings n rings at 300,000. Its the same way, if its cold outside it better be plugged in, but once warm it'll still burn tires, god bless 21.5:1 compression ratio! Thats a beautiful truck, rebuild a 7.3 idi and drop it in there when the 6.9 gives up the ghost?

@TurboIDI i am actually in the process of building a 7.3 idi for the truck hope to have it going soon . I may eventually pull this old 6.9 down and put rings and bearings in it just to do it
