**Ambitious plan for 10 million views of banned song**

Local Wellington lesbian musician, Dr Falconer, has the ambitious goal of getting 10 million views of her new song on youtube - a song banned in 85 countries because of it's promotion of gay love and commitment.

'Each view and especially sharing the song with your online community is supporting that you don't think that being 'different' is bad and that everyone deserves love,' she says.
Currently it is illegal to be in a same-sex relationship in 85 countries around the world.
'This song is about a woman being in love with another woman and preparing to ask for her lover's hand in marriage - and that is something that is punishable - sometimes by death in - in a number of countries"
'I'm just one person, but I think that music can change things. And this is my way of trying to make the world a fairer and better place for what is often quoted as being 10 percent of the world's population...that's at least 600 million people who deserve basic rights of equality.'
'10 million views is 10 million people saying that everyone deserves love,' she says.
The video started midnight today and so far, she has had 76 views in just over 2 hours (86 now ...10 hits while this release was being written).
'It seems small I know, but it's going to be a snowball,' she says, 'as people view and share, and view and share, this message is going to spread all over the world.'
'The internet and social media is the best thing in the world for creating new freedoms and connecting people everywhere,' she says.
Dr Falconer lives in Wellington and is a musician, and photographer.
