Two new scientific papers look like changing the way we think about event horizons and what happens when you cross one - as Dr Tony Padilla explains. The papers are at http://arxiv.org/pdf/1207.3123.pdf and http://arxiv.org/pdf/1207.4090.pdf

To assume that I do not have 'sufficient' education to understand black holes simply by judging my replies is insulting and rude - this is why I asked you to reply logically and reasonably.

From my supposed 'insufficient' education, I gathered from you comment that you believe that "you would probably see sheer light" - light is electric-magnetic waves - "seeing sheer light" implies that the light contained in the black hole is in the visible waveband. Would it not be a much shorter wavelength.

If a black hole radiates enough to go down to the size of the sun wouldn't it expand and not be a black hole anymore?

No actual black holes exist in spacetime. From the outside observer, it takes infinite time for something to fall in. For the thing falling in, all spacetime accelerates to an end at the horizon.
