I saw this tour in '76, from the fifth row at the Cow Palace in San Francisco. We found it very ironic that when the during the opening song, "Station to Station" when he sang, "...it's not the side effects of the cocaine" that the white lights filled the auditorium.
And yeah, he didn't look well at all, but it was a great show anyhow.

The Thin White Duke on the Station to Station tour in Dusseldorf in April 08 1976. Could it be any more perfect and significant in any period?? Kraftwerk were busy working on their masterpiece "Trans Europe Express"( sample lyric from the title track: "From station to station
back to Dusseldorf City
Meet Iggy Pop and David Bowie
..Trans-Europe Express"!). Bowie was entering arguably his most musically creative period. The European canon was well and truly here..!!

yes - he did in fact meet up with Kraftwerk during this period.

It's around 6 stones.

what's that in stones, scary?
i weigh in at a modest 9 and a half stones. i was never any good at football (soccer) or rugby (they used me as the posts) or cricket...
why the fuck don't americans play cricket? it's the best sport in the world by MILES...
by the way - i'm an englishman who's supporting phelps in his quest for 8 golds. i'm fed up with these bloody chinese buying all our oil and gas - cheeky cute-looking cunts.
time for us and uk to stick together, brother.

Although Bowie was thin at the time. His voice and looks were so beautiful. Thanks for the video, lunamagic2004 :)
