Well actually under Swedish axe throwing rules the distance is defined from the center on the target to the throwers feet which means if you do the Pythagoras then along the floor to the taget is roughly 39.54 feet, Also this axe is a 2 /1/2 pound Swedish throwing axe with a 29 inch handle that has a natural amplitude of 1 rotation of 1 cycle per 20 foot , you can see that it makes 2 full turns , I have done it at 60 foot where it made 3 full turns but nearly ripped my arm out with the effort !
